Last week I wrote about my summer reset – travel, sun, and slowing down.
The funny thing about slowing down is, insights drop in like never before…
Have you noticed it too? We can be so busy, convinced that doing everything = being productive. But it’s only when we pause that the real clarity arrives.
I find it works especially well when I travel… (that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!).
But that’s exactly what happened for me this summer.
I sat with the question: What do I really want my next chapter to be?
And the answer that landed was simple and strong: female leaders.
Now, I do work with all kinds of leaders, that won’t change.
But my deepest work is with women who lead.
And by “leader,” I don’t just mean job titles. I mean anyone who’s influencing people, shaping decisions, or setting the tone at home, at work, or in their community.
Here’s the pattern I see (and have felt myself): the quiet drag of imposter syndrome.
That inner whisper: “Who am I to do this?” The replaying of conversations. The holding back in rooms where you’re meant to stand tall.
If that lands for you, I’ve made something to help. It’s my Imposter Syndrome Playbook – practical tools to calm the wobble and lead with presence. You can grab a copy here.
And if you manage a team, you’ll want to check out my post on the dangers of doing too much.
If this isn’t for you right now and you’re here for the retreat content… read on 😉
Retreats aren’t dead…
Let’s be real: most of us aren’t prioritising ourselves. That’s the cold hard truth.
So after a year playing around with different formats… I knew I needed to do something different. Because me telling you “you need to come on a retreat and chill out” wasn’t really cutting it.
So (drum roll please 🥁) here’s what’s happening instead:
✨ Private retreats
Last week I hosted one for Lizzie’s 40th. They came, they saw, they chilled. For this group of busy mums, it was exactly what they needed – time together, and the chance to deeply relax. Two birds with one stone.
You can’t help but notice more people are swapping cocktails for connection. I’m seeing so many more requests for milestone birthdays and hen dos with a difference. So – next time you’re racking your brains about what to do that’s “different” for a big celebration – drop me a message for a bespoke retreat party!
✈️ A retreat abroad
Next year, I’ll be hosting one – maybe more – overseas (because you all know how much I love travel).
Think:
- An epic girls’ trip 💃
- Exploring somewhere new, with everything organised for you (the only decision = how many bikinis to pack)
- Dedicated time for hardcore relaxation
If this sounds like your kind of escape, keep your eyes on this space – I’ll be sharing more soon.
