If you know me, or knew me in my previous life as an HR Consultant, you’ll probably have heard me talk about Motivational Maps. They are a game changing tool for businesses and individuals, and I’ve used them countless times to help business owners and individuals gain great insights into how they can enhance their work performance and get better results from their teams!
What is Motivation?
Motivation is like the fuel that powers our engines. It’s what keeps us going, even through the tough times (and haven’t we all has plenty of those in recent years!). But what motivates one person might not necessarily motivate another. That’s where Motivational Maps come in – the ultimate tool for understanding what makes you tick.
Created by James Sale, a real-life motivation expert and author of several books on the subject, Motivational Maps are a fun and interactive way to discover your key motivators. Think of them as a bit like a personality quiz, but instead of telling you what kind of sandwich you are, they tell you what drives you to succeed.
The assessment is made up of a series of questions about different areas of your life, from your need for recognition to your desire for autonomy, and even your need for social interaction. By answering these questions, you can get a deeper understanding of what makes you feel excited, engaged, and ready to take on the world. And we all want a piece of that, right?
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Motivational Maps can also be used to assess teams, providing valuable insights into what motivates different team members and how to create a more motivated and productive team environment. By understanding the different motivators that drive team members, managers can tailor their approach to leadership and delegation, providing the right level of support and challenge to help each team member reach their full potential.
I’ve used them with many teams, but also individuals, and now, as a part of my new Career Coaching package – and I’m excited to help people find their true calling and purpose in life! You can book a discovery call if you want to know more!
Here’s a testimonial from one happy client:
“We wanted to understand the levels of motivation within our team and how we as managers could improve them. The Maps tool was quick to use and came with loads of info and explanation on each motivational type, and how to get the best from that person. The results have been amazing, surprising, and spot on! We’ve found that we tend to recruit in our own image, and in future, as we grow, we can use the tool to help us recruit differently for different roles. We understand our own and our team members motivations, and that’s helped us work better as a team. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the tool to other businesses!”
